Colossians 3
15And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
The central theme of Colossians is Christ. He is exalted and worshipped for:- His divine nature- being preeminence over all creation and over all cosmic rules and powers- His redemptive, reconciling work on the cross- defeating the power of darkness- being the Head of the church which is His body- being the fulfilment and substance of Old Testament types and figures- being the believers' life and our hope of glory
Within the four chapters of this epistle, Paul calls us to be sexually pure, compassionate, kind, humble, meek, patient, forgiving, loving, peaceful, obedient, just, wise, gracious and thankful.
Colossians 3:15-22God has so forgiven me for my sins and He has reconciled me with Father God. How great is His love for me and others who would place their faith and trust in His salvation plan.
Colossians 3:11-15With God's love, I strive to live a life that is pleasing and glorify Him in my life.
